holocene dj stage

client: holocene, merkled designed and fabricated

the base of this stage is made from refurbished fir that was salvaged from the building it is located in. the stage has two recessed cord channels as well as cubby holes on each side for jacket and drink storage. at the front of the stage two large PA speakers are housed with built in boxes that blend into its facade. the stage was designed to be taken apart. the railing separates into four sections and the base comes apart in four sections. sound dampening foam was placed between all pieces of wood and metal to aid in muffling unwanted sonic vibrations.
