this
piece was inspired by two winged back chairs being pulled
to either side of the site, creating private zones on the
two ends and a public space along the bench. the site had
two existing outlets. each has a bright pink steel runway
to help lead the eye towards them. walnut ply was chosen for
its natural hue but the ends were intentionally left un-banded
in order to be honest with the material. grey and pink upholstery
felt come though the wood in choice spots to make the piece
feel more inviting and offer padding.
materials:
walnut ply, powder-coated steel, upholstery wool
